My Insights
When I'm older, I would love to go into theatre, as most people know, but there is something that I would rather do. Acting, as in movies. Its like a little girls dream to become rich and famous. Jeez, its almost up there with wanting to become president. There are many reasons though why Ive kind of gotten sidetracked from the idea. How many actresses do you know that have been popular, or at least still remembered, for a longer span of time? I can only name a few, such as Meg Ryan or Julia Roberts. And it is so hard to get into film. So many people want to go into entertaining for the prestige. My chances would be slim to none. Most of the parts that are out there are male, too. Most of the characters that are remembered for years later are male. The parts that I would love to get are always male. Such as Maximus from Gladiator, Rocky from Rocky, Stephen Maturin from M&C FsotW, or Pete from The Majestic. Traditionally women are just there to act giddy or cry or something else like that. Why do you think I have being cast into the blonde ditz role? I want a character with more levels, and you barely ever see that in movies. And look where I live, in Parma. Its how many miles; not just miles, states; from Hollywood? I dont want to go all the way out to Hollywood for something that isnt sure. I might be overanalyzing it way too much, or thinking way too far into the future, but thats just how I am. After reading this I must sound so pessimistic. Im really not; Im more of what you would call a realist. I would rather go for the safer career compared to not knowing where or when my next job is coming from. But I still do dream about becoming an actress anyways. Dreams just dont die easily. I saw this interview though, with Russell Crowe, and he was saying how you should just go for your dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem. And that even though you don't think you can get a part, you may be surprised, because a director or someone like that may believe in you enough and give you a part. I really liked that, so I think that I am going to try his advice, and the advice of Kim and Andrea.
PS- I want to thank Kim and Andrea. You two have told me to go after my dream, even though to me it doesn't seem that possible. No one has ever really been supportive like that, for me. And I think that this summer, I may try to audition for, well anything. And if you two believe in me enough, then there must be something there, I just must not see it yet. So thank you two so much.

Your most missed memory: I miss my aunt a lot. I know thats not really a memory, but I had so many great memories with her, and I really miss her. She died a few years ago in February.

Play an instrument: Too many. Lets see all saxophones, I used to play clarinet, I can play a little bit on trumpet, flute, and drum set. I'm going to learn violin this summer hopefully.
What do you think of poetry?: I love it. Not really the older works that I don't understand. I like Poe's works, he's a poet. I really do love it though.

Favorite restaurant?: There is some restaurant in Kentucky that my grandparents took me too. They had the greatest steaks and you got to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. It was so much fun!

Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?: New York and Company. I love their clothing, it is sophisticated and classy but still young.
What do you do most often when you are bored?: I'm never bored, I'm always doing something.

What is your favorite movie? Hmm.. it's a five way tie. Rocky, A Beautiful Mind, Master and Commander: Far Side of the World, and Life is Beautiful, and Singin' in the Rain.
Who is your favorite actor? As in acting: Tom Hanks, as in looks: Russell Crowe and Tom Bettany. As in all around (looks, acting, singing, dancing, etc,) Gene Kelly
What is your favorite book? The Chamber by John Grisham, but I'm reading A Beautiful Mind by Sylvia Nasar and Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian and they are both really good.

I also like weird names like Heath or Ethan or Ewan. I like weird middle names too; like Sebastian, Xavier, etc. Lets see, for girls I really dont have the slightest clue.
Describe your Dream Wedding: I don't really have a "dream wedding." I want it in a big church with all my friends there. And I really want to wear my grandmothers wedding dress, I love it so much, it is so beautiful. Big church, lots of flowers, beautiful reception. I know Im a dork, I have the romanticized view in mind though. But I don't have it down to specifics or anything.
How do you want to die: I dont really care, but I want to be old and I want it to be painless or I want to die doing something for a worthwhile cause.

What do you want to be when you grow up: An actress or a director, that would be cool.

First date location: Hmmm I havent really ever had a formal date. I mean Ive gone to the movies and stuff like that before, but I dont really consider it a date, so I can't really think of where would be a good place to go.
